To get married is a very important and serious life step. People meet, date, love each other and finally get married. But there are some adventurous natures who want to have an international family and, as a result, we find ads like this one: "Ukrainian woman seeks a foreigner to create a happy strong family."

Why do Ukrainian women enjoy such a great popularity among foreign men? Let's see what is so special in a Ukrainian woman. On the first place, I would put maternal qualities. Ukrainian woman is rather a mother, than a lover (of course, there are exceptions). Initially, she took on herself a role of a mother towards her husband and had not a right to manifest any weakness.

Even in Russian and Ukrainian folklore, most women are brave, courageous, smart and, certainly, beautiful; they could ride the wildest horses, shoot and save her beloved defenseless man. To the surprise, Russian and Ukrainian folklore the so-called heroes usually spend most time, dreaming and keeping sides warm on the stove. An interesting thing - a strong woman gave her life, like a lamb, to a poor claimant to a husband. The heroines of Russian/Ukraine folk tales feel a really special love to their men - they always feel sorry for them, bring up and took care of them, save from a mortal danger, not sparing themselves, and sacrifice their own lives to the happiness and wealth of the romised husband. Such ideas are imbibed from the early childhood, with mother's milk. In this manner, women, someone more and someone less, follow unknowingly these principles and that is to say makes Russian and Ukrainian women particular and popular all over the world.

There are two principal reasons, not counting selfish ends, why Ukrainian women replenish the first line of volunteers, love, certainly and fortunately, is still one of them. However, the prevalent reason is considered, by the expert evidence, the wish to create a strong happy family. Ukrainian women seem to be disappointed in native men since they, being lazy or maladjusted to a new life, can't afford the luxury of a friendly family. Sometimes, it must be confessed, simple curiosity or a wish to change life radically moves Ukrainian women to loot for a foreign husband. Finally, we shouldn't forget about the mentality, that means traditions, culture and habits peculiar to Ukraine nation.
